"I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven" (Matt. 16:19 AMP).
We know that the first Adam, who fell from his position with God, had the ability to name every creature, giving that creature character and identity that has been established throughout time. This was accomplished by speaking words into the atmosphere. This is the inheritance believers in Christ have; unfortunately, it has held the body of Christ in bondage that they are a "poor sinner saved by grace" because of the unbelief in the first Adam.
Jesus Christ, the second and last Adam (1 Corinthians 15: 45-47) gave the keys of the kingdom of heaven to the church, the body of Christ, in which the gates of hell shall not overpower or be strong to its detriment. Nothing can come against us when we know with the impregnation knowledge of God given by the Holy Spirit that we are today alive in Christ Jesus (Gal. 2:20). Jesus Christ is building His body based on us knowing our identity in Him. The identity we think we will get someday when we get to heaven that has been taught by the church is the identity we should be manifesting today while in our natural body on the earth.
In 1 John 4:17 we read, "Herein is our love (our identity as god, children of the Most High) made perfect (we are complete, finished the race, accomplished the goal), that we may have boldness in the day (moment in time) of judgment (power of life and earth): because as he is (Jesus Christ), so are we in this world." There is no fear (horrid, terrible, shrinking from, timidity, fleeing, dreadful) in love; (in God whom our identity, character, and nature is established).
Who are you in the heavens today? This kingly identity is the keys of understanding that gives us the power and authority to bind and loose in our earthen vessels, our flesh. Do you know that today you are a son of God with the identity of Jesus Christ in you? This is the mystery Paul talked about in Col. 1:27,"Christ in you, the hope of glory."
Scripture tells us that Jesus Christ is the King of kings and Lord of lords. "They will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will triumph over them; for He is Lord of lords and King of kings--and those with Him and on His side are chosen and called [elected] and loyal and faithful followers" (Rev. 17:14). When did Jesus become Jesus Christ the Lord (Phil. 2:10)? 2000 years ago when He overcame death, hell, and the grave through His death, burial, and resurrected life.
When we truly understand our title and position on this earth as sons of God, we also have an inheritance of a transformed nature. We do not have two natures or a fallen nature. We are the sons of God with the nature of lordship under the authority of Jesus Christ our Lord.
What does lordship mean? Lordship has to do with the nature inside of the name. Names restore authority in this earth. Today, we know that we are a son of God as our title. However, as a son of God through Jesus Christ, we also have a lordship nature. Just as Adam had the ability to naming the creatures God brought before him in Genesis, forever establishing the character and identity of that creature, Jesus gave us His name which forever carries His identity as God. We no longer have the nature of the fallen Adam, but we have the nature, character and identity in Christ Jesus the resurrected son of God who overcame death, hell and the grave. When we live our life by faith of who we are in Him, we manifest the power and authority of the resurrected Jesus Christ and the coming of the Lord in this earth.
Today we know we are a son of God in our name, but are we lord of our nature? This is the key, the mystery of the coming of the Lord, Christ in us; the hope of glory.
"Therefore [because He stooped so low] God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, That in (at) the name of Jesus every knee should (must) bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue [frankly and openly] confess and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" (Phil. 2:9-11 AMP).
Whatever you are going through, ask yourself if you would see this in heaven? If not, then you have the power and authority lifting up the name of Jesus to bind on earth what is not in heaven; and what is heaven today, we have the ability to loosen on the earth filling the earth with the manifestation of the sons of God giving Him all glory and honor (Selah).
