Sing Unto the Lord a New Song
The Ram's Horn Sound's the Battle Cry of God
I begin this e-news by asking that you NOT delete it, but read it, then pass it on quickly to everyone that God brings across your heart to join in the victory battle cry of the Lord. We will be in remembrance of an event that place on September 11, 2001that shook and changed not only theUnited States, but countries around the world. Through out the Scriptures, there was a pattern that God used to bring forth the victory of CHANGE that belongs to Him. He would send out the priest to lead the people in a victory song. In Nehemiah we are told that the joy of the Lord is our strength.
(Nehemiah 8:9-12 Message)
Nehemiah the governor, along with Ezra the priest and scholar and the Levites who were teaching the people, said to all the people, "This day is holy to God, your God. Don't weep and carry on." They said this because all the people were weeping as they heard the words of The Revelation.
10 He continued, "Go home and prepare a feast, holiday food and drink; and share it with those who don't have anything: This day is holy to God. Don't feel bad. The joy of God is your strength!"
11 The Levites calmed the people, "Quiet now. This is a holy day. Don't be upset."
12 So the people went off to feast, eating and drinking and including the poor in a great celebration. Now they got it; they understood the reading that had been given to them.
We read from the brother of Jesus,"James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing" (James 1:1-4 KJV).
Often we have heard 2 Chronicles 7:14 quoted as a judgment call for people to come back to God with an attitude of "wow is me, a sinner saved by grace." This may sound like the humbling we "think" God wants us to have, but it has no power as a son of God, a king and priest of the body of Jesus Christ to "bringing forth the sons of God as the Apostles declared.
Let us re-read again 2 Ch 7:14-18 as a battle cry that declares the finished work of Jesus Christ:
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attend unto the prayer that is made in this place.
16 For nowhave I chosen and sanctified this house (body of Christ), that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
17 And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked (joy of the Lord), and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statues and my judgments;
18 Then will I establish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel.
I challenge you today to read all of 2 Chronicles 20, but below are some verses to consider.
(2 Ch 20:15-23 message)
15 God said, "Attention everyone- all of youfrom out of town, all you from Jerusalem and you King Jehoshaphat- God's word: Don't be afraid; don't pay any mind to this vandal horde. This is God's war, not yours.
16 Tomorrow (Sept. 11th) you'll go after them; see, they're already on their way up the slopes of Ziz(place of blossoming); you'll meet them at the end of the ravine near the wilderness of Jeruel(founded by God).
17 You won't have to lift a hand in this battle; just stand firm, Judah and Jerusalem, and watch God's saving work for you take shape. Don't be afraid, don't waver. March out boldly tomorrow(Sept 11) - God is with you."
18 Then Jehoshaphat knelt down, bowing with his face to the ground (Humbled themselves). All Judah and Jerusalem did the same, worshiping God.
19 The Levites (both Kohathites and Korahites) stood to their feet to praise God, the God of Israel;they praised at the top of their lungs!
20 They were up early in the morning, ready to march into the wilderness of Tekoa. As they were leaving, Jehoshaphat stood up and said, "Listen Judah and Jerusalem! Listen to what I have to say!Believe firmly in God, your God, and your lives will be firm! Believe in your prophets and you'll come out on top!"
21 After talking it over with the people, Jehoshaphat appointed a choir for God; dressed in holy robes, they were to march ahead of the troops, singing, Give thanks to God, His love never quits.(The sons of God filling the earth with His Glory).
Now, people of God, here is wisdom…
22 As soon as they started shouting and praising, God set ambushes against the men of Ammon(religion), Moab (I, ego, new age), and Mount Seir (a symbol of the antichrist) as they were attacking Judah, and they all ended up dead.
23 The Ammonites and Moabites mistakenly attacked those from Mount Seir and massacred them. Then, further confused, they went at each other, and all ended up killed.
Brothers and sisters in Christ, God has given us the power within ourselves to end the war on terrorism, but we must raise the bar and come up into His presence. This power comes from knowing who we are in Christ Jesus, and allowing the joy of the Lord to be our strength - but it must be manifested as a corporate body.
I challenge you this day to rise up as a priest, a son of God in Christ Jesus declaring that the earth belongs to the Lord and the fullness thereof. Let us each ask God to equip us with His armor from the time that you wake up on September 11th to the time that you go to bed by filling you're heart and mind with a song that declares "Our God is an awesome God, His mercies endure forever…the battle is His, and we rejoice as one body in Christ Jesus, it is finished, not by what we see with our eyes, but because of what we know in our hearts that Jesus Christ died once, and for all. " Let us fill the atmosphere where God has placed each of us around the world with Psalms 96, "Singing unto the Lord a New Song…"
If you can't sing, or verbalize your song, then hum it within your heart, but do this joyful celebration with a song that gives glory and honor to God. It is our strength to overcome trial and temptations for what our natural eyes see. Let God arise within each of us, and our enemies will scatter!
I believe that if we will pass this e-news to everyone that God has brought across your path that on Sept. 11th, in a 24 hour period around the world the Sound of the Ram's Horn (Jesus Christ) will be heard…our enemies will scatter…and, Christ in You, the Hope of Glory will be manifested giving glory unto God.
