2015 Christmas Message

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV).
So often Christians look at the "doom and gloom" issues taking place around the world (wars, famine, murders, destruction, poverty, taxes, pornography, adultery, robberies, drugs, crimes, etc., etc.,), followed by hearing someone in the church shouting this verse found in 2 Chronicles 7:14. The usual response that follows is, "yes, we are all wicked sinners deserving the wrath of God. If we do not stop doing the above "doom and gloom" issues, the earth will be destroyed and we will perish. This leads people to get on their knees and pray before God, asking for forgiveness of their sins and to save them from an eternal wrath. Sounds easy, and for hundreds of years many people are compliant to doing this… so why have we yet seen the land healed?

A reason to consider why Christians are still going in circles trying to overcome the negative issues of this world may be the governing of their hardened hearts and the separation they have brought to the body of Christ. Christians are so busy playing "doctrine church" that has justification, separation, and death surrounding their minds that they do not recognized how to put on the mind of Christ and connect the body of Christ as one body with Jesus Christ as the head.

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways…"

Let us look at this verse again:

"My People" - those that know they have been created in the image and likeness of God. They know Him as "Father," and they have heard the voice of His Spirit say, "you are my beloved son/daughter." I am LOVE and so are you.

"Called by my name" - What are some of the names that Jesus was known by? Counselor, Savior, Prince of Peace, Son of God, Master, Rabbi, Healer, Redeemer, Alpha, Omega, Everlasting life, The Truth, Way, and Life, Provider, Rock of Salvation, Mighty Creator, Shepherd, King, Lord, Righteous Judge, Husband, Love, etc., etc. These are some of the names Jesus functioned in while ministering on the earth before Calvary. He demonstrated an example of how we, as the body of Christ, are to be operating today. Do you regard yourself as a counselor, savior, prince of peace, son of God, healer, redeemer, king, lord, or simply unconditional love?

"Shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek MY face…" - Jesus could have entered into this world as a glorified KING instantly taking charge over all the rulers of the lands and the religions. The problem that would have occurred is the creation of a spirit that is not of God called domination and control, which would have been a witness to the spirit that Adam created in Genesis. Jesus came in the most humble way: through a woman, as a baby, born among the animals, and laid in a manger where the food for the animals was offered. This does not sound like the access any earthly king would come through to make their entrance to the world.

"A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit" (Proverbs 29:23). Jesus said, "Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 18:3-4).

Therefore, my brothers and sisters in Christ, we humble ourselves as children of God knowing who our Father is. He is not the father of sinners, but of His kind! "I (GOD) have said, ye are gods; and ALL of you are children of the most High"(Psalm 82:6). Our Daddy keeps His word. It will not return void, and as children of the Most High we can know this in the purest and absolute form without any "buts."

Being in the position of knowing who we are in Christ, we then pray (request, come boldly before the throne, commune, ask, etc.) to God seeking His face. In the Old Testament, only the High Priest could go into the throne room of God (the Holy of Holies), and only if they were in a frame of mind that had absolutely nothing to do with themselves, but as an intercessor for the people. If the High Priest gave any thought to his own needs or personal circumstances while in the presence of God He would instantly be dead!

How brazen of Christians to think that we can make request for ourselves (heal me, prosper me, me, me, me, etc). People, listen to your brothers and sisters in Christ pray asking God for this and that and it makes you wonder about a few things. Then they justify their prayers by calling themselves a poor "sinner saved by grace." No wonder our world is manifesting so much turmoil today.

Jesus gave what we know as the "Lord's prayer" for the disciples before Calvary. It is really the prayer for those that are "babes in Christ." However, for those that consider themselves a Christian, our prayer should be the same that Jesus prayed personally to God found in John 17. Parts of this chapter are below:

"Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:" (vs. 1)

"As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them"(2-10).

"And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them" (vs. 13-26).

As being a part of the body of Christ (Colossians 2:10), "And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power), whom Jesus Christ is the head (Colossians 1:18), "And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.); we have the responsibility to allow the life of Christ to flow through us to nurture others the way Jesus Christ unconditionally loved us and gave his life for us.

It is the prayers of those that pray as Jesus did that will move mountains. Those that are functioning as "sons of God" on this earth through the mind of Christ bringing heaven and earth together manifesting the glory of God for others to come into knowing God as their Heavenly Father. "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 5:16). Jesus finished the work He came to do (John 19:30, John 17:4). Today, the earth is groaning for the manifestation of the sons of God (Romans 8:19) so that the manifestation of Christ who is in ALL be ALL (Col. 3:11).

John writes, "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure" (1 John 3:1-3).

Today we are pure, blameless, and righteous before our Heavenly Father, God Almighty. We have a responsibility as sons to do the Father's business allowing His unconditional love, mercy, and forgiveness to flow through us as Jesus prayed. "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do" (Luke 23:34). Each day God directs our steps. "The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand" (Psalm 37:23-24). "Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven. Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase. Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps" (Psalm 85:10-13).

Brothers and sisters, let us rise up together before our Heavenly Father truly with the desire to heal the land with the manifestation of filling the earth with the glory and peace of God. Each morning, I challenge you to begin your day in prayer asking God to direct your steps. "The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. I opened my mouth, and panted: for I longed for thy commandments. Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as thou usest to do unto those that love thy name. Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts. Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; and teach me thy statutes" (Psalm 119:130-135).

Then, throughout your day be prepared for God to direct your steps and take you across the path of people (physically, phone, e-mail, fax, plane, bus, car, or even thought) for His purpose. Seek beyond what ever is taking place in the natural looking at the heart of the person. You may see their face, hear their voice, or connect with them via words, but ask God to show you what He sees, and allow His love, mercy, and forgiveness to flow through you. At the end of your day…when you lay down to rest…come before our Heavenly Father asking the Holy Spirit to bring to your remembrance each person that came across your path. As a son of God, a king and lord of THE KING and LORD, we have a responsibility to pray for each of these people surrounding them with unconditional love, peace, and mercy.

As the Christmas holiday approaches, do you really want to see the manifestation of PEACE ON EARTH? It begins with YOU and knowing who you are in Christ.

"As He is, so are we in this world" (1 John 4:17).

When Christians turn from their wicked ways of functioning less than whom God says they are as His sons, instead of challenging God that they will never be good enough, then will our Heavenly Father hear our prayer from heaven. Where is heaven? The Holiest place within each of; knowing the righteousness, peace, and joy of the Holy Spirit who teaches us who we are in Christ.

From this posture, we see others from the mercy seat of God where we sit with Jesus Christ in a heavenly position; the great white throne of judgment.

"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, it is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son" (Revelation 21:1-7).

This Christmas, 2015, let the earth see the glory of God…the manifestation of the sons of God in Christ Jesus!
