Jesus is the Reason

Christmas 2015...Jesus is the Reason

How beautiful it is to get caught up in the preparation and excitement of all the wonders that surround the day the world celebrates as the birth of Jesus Christ: Christmas trees, lights, decorations, wreaths, nativities, presents, parties, time off from work, the gift of giving, etc., etc. We have the opportunity to see so many special ways to bring joy, peace, hope, and love into the lives of others. However, the message of Christmas is more than just God coming to redeem humanity by the birth of Jesus. It is a message that states God has completed the work of redemption for humanity through the birth, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. God did not do a work of hope that could allow a place of "maybe" or "might" that would give the opportunity for a "devil" to nullify the 100% of His perfection. God has completed the finished fullness of bringing humanity back into His presence as the children of the Most High God.

As exciting we may find the experience of enjoying the birth of a baby, children do grow up. Jesus never intended to stay as a cute little baby, but came to show us the way to our Heavenly Father so that our purpose in the world would be fulfilled to do our Father's business as He did. We are to release the manifestation of His identity, His character, His nature, His mercy, His love, His hope, and His forgiveness without judgment or condemnation for the world to see HIM. The purpose of celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ is more than celebrating the birth of a baby, but the resurrected life He gave us today while in the flesh (Gal. 2:20), so that when other's see us, they see their Heavenly Father who loves them so much that He gave His own life. Today, we have been redeemed by the blood of the lamb and declared righteous and holy in our Father's eyes. This is the message of Christmas that goes beyond the limitations of time of us knowing Jesus as a baby. He is the Alpha and Omega; the first and the last; the beginning and the end. It is IN HIM that we move and have our being. Let us celebrate this Christmas seeing Jesus Christ, as He is today, the head of the body of Christ whom we are one body in Christ. Let the Scripture's come alive with the glorious sounding of His Life, His Love, and His Light within us spreading His unconditional mercy and peace that surpasses our natural understanding so that the world will see that "as He is, so are we today in the world" (1 John 4:17).

Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He is the Tree of Life we celebrate with the symbolism of Christmas trees brought into our homes. We decorate these trees with lights symbolizing that, as He is the Light of the world so are we connected as one. The ornaments symbolize the divine uniqueness in each of us of how God formed, created, and knew us before we were conceived in our mother's womb. All the decorating that we do each year to celebrate the birth of baby Jesus is also an opportunity to celebrate the resurrected life we now have and the oneness of heaven and earth coming together filling the earth with the sons of God declaring peace on earth and good will to all.

In John 17, Jesus asked God to glorify him as the SON, not as a baby in a manger. Even though there is beauty and admiration in every birth, God is glorified in His Son. The prayer of Jesus for all humanity was, "All may be one; as thou, Father, in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me" (John 17:21-23).

Jesus is the reason for the season. Let us rejoice together in the manifestation of the sons of God filling the earth with His glory!
